There is something transforming and incredibly tranquil about the seashore. Through my photography I strive to convey a sense of place and transport the viewer into the scene.
I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did creating them.
Mother Nature was very generous when she blessed the New England shoreline with such spectacular scenery.
There are countless beaches, coves, bays, and estuaries. Each offering a changing vista with the passing season.
New England has a long and proud heritage of wooden boat building. Because of this our many bays and coves are filled with old and new boats of all types.
Small boats of classic designs have become a favorite subject of mine. The craftsmanship that goes into building these boats that ply the local waters for generations is beautiful and timeless.
Fortunately today there are still a handful of wooden boat builders employing the skills handed down to them and continuing to produce these functioning works of art.
Abstract art; maybe it’s a unique prospective or an unexpected rendition of a familiar scene. Either way it’s an interpretation of photography which I enjoy the most.
Employing camera movement techniques, using filters, or simply seeing a subject in a different light, can yield some very surprising images.
